I have a Ubitquiti Fibre Gateway and am running Mulvad VPN as a configured VPN on the Fibre Gateway, I ran ShieldsUp!! (grc.com) and sure enough all my service ports are stealthy, however I failed the test because the gateway responded to a ping. I am at the limit of my knowledge and I would like to know if is there a problem responding to pings if I am using a VPN and surely that is masking my real IP
By default and unless you purposely went in and changed settings UniFi has all external ports closed by default. If it is looking at the Mulvad VPN IP then it may show whatever ports they have open.
That’s an idea, if I pause mulvad and rerun shieldsup!! then if it doesn’t report failure, it’s mulvad.. thanks for the speedy reply

That didn’t work. I got the same results.
I will go thru the rules on my firewall.
Quick update & solution
I have a ubiquiti cloud fibre, a pi-hole dns, and have added a tailscale server and now when I run grc shieldsup! I get the all clear .. I still have mulvad but on my phone - thanks for your help Tom.
