I believe the discourse atleast is hosted on digital ocean, @LTS_Tom talked about it when he was saying in a youtube video how he was using this new forum platform.

Yes, these forums are hosted on Digital Ocean and our web site is hosted at A2 hosting. If you are ever curious where something is hosted you can use the DIG command to get the IP address of the site and then use https://whois.arin.net/ui/ to find our the organization that owns the address.

DIG now that reminds me of arche and gopher still available in the deb packages. Some of the early ISP packages included them along with a web browser, ok I’m going back to the mid '90s.
