Fiber Optic to Netgate SG-2100

Hello!

A few months ago, I bought an SG-2100 from a reseller of Negate. I have 1 Gbps fibre optic internet, and I am required for now to use the ISP provided modem/router combo. I want to ditch that and use an SFP module, which will work as a transceiver between the fibre and the pfSense device.

Not only that, but I purchased an FS GPON-ONU-34-20BI for my SFP WAN port.

I must admit that I am fairly new to this field, and I am learning on the go, so many things for me a new .

I have a problem. Furthermore, I can’t get access to the SFP module via SSH to configure it. I either get the message" timed out" or" destination is unreachable ".

I have never tested any GPON setups with pfsense, but there is a post about it in their forums GPON SFP Module on Netgate 2100 for SFR Business Fiber | Netgate Forum

I’ve yet to reach the SFP module to configure it. My problem is that I cant access it from LAN. I asked on Netgate Forum for advice and they told me is a IP conflict.

My setup is
WAN IP is 192.168.1.1
LAN IP is 192.168.128.1

The manual for the SFP module says that I can access it at 192.168.1.10

I tried setting up a firewall rule and NAT , however I still get "destination unreachable " .
