Looking for some information. We recently swapped a Unifi gateway out for a pfsense firewall. Setup all the normal settings (LAN/WAN, IPSEC, etc).
Site A (Local Client Site)
Site B (Cloud Server Site)
Site B already had a pfsense firewall.
When clients at Site A used a website (app.mydomain.com), it pointed them to their app. That domain/subdomain was pointed to the IP of the server at Site B. It just worked. Now it gives a binding error and just tries to load the pfsense dashboard. But, if the client visits the IP address of that server across the IPSEC connection, it works fine.
**FYI, they have to use the domain link because it uses SSL (Not self-signed).
Can’t see what I missed that wasn’t already there from the Unifi gateway.
